Briah Foundation

The Briah Foundation promotes women's health in Israel through policy change and support for initiatives emerging from the healthcare sector. Since 2017, the activity of the Briah Foundation has led to significant changes in the Israeli healthcare system: Following our survey on the pelvic exam, we initiated guidelines for patient-centered pelvic examinations, later adopted by the Israeli Medical Association, we supported dozens of groundbreaking initiatives for women's health in Israel, raised awareness and public discourse on issues that were hardly addressed before, such as sexual assault and its impact on health, sexual harassment within healthcare, chronic pain conditions in women such as endometriosis, fibromyalgia, vulvodynia, and more.
