The College is closely attuned to the job market: our graduates make up 20% of the educators in the secular public Arab and Jewish school systems, and other graduates hold prominent positions in national and local government, academic and nonprofit sectors as well as global arts community. Founded in 1949 as a training institute for teachers, youth leaders, kibbutz members and immigrant youth, in 1971 Beit Berl became an accredited academic college of education. Recognized for its academic excellence, in 2015 Beit Berl was placed under the Planning and Budgeting Committee of the Council for Higher Education, affording it the academic independence given to regional colleges and universities in Israel.
