Yameynu Kekedem - Kfar Zeitim

Kfar Zeitim Yeshiva is a unique educational framework established to address the needs of Ultra Orthodox/Haredi youth who struggle to fit into the classic Haredi school framework due to family difficulties, learning disabilities, and emotional challenges. We offer a path of learning that enables these exceptional young men to find expression for their diverse talents, all in a framework and atmosphere that is similar to the world from which they came - thus preventing a separation from family and community that could further weaken them. We are a family institution that provides a warm, loving, personal, and professional response to the youth who pass through our gates. We impart to them life skills and knowledge, teach them a profession, and encourage them to be faithful, courteous Jews who are connected to Torah, to their parents, and to their communities. We seek to nurture healthy and self-confident youth who are emotionally and vocationally prepared to establish and support a family respectably, while contributing to their environment and the broader society. Our success is achieved with a multi-pronged approach: 1) Intensive emotional and psychological therapy to meet the individual students' needs 2) Extracurricular activities and experiential therapies such as music, art, agriculture, horseback riding and animal husbandry which are meant to be therapeutic, engaging and fun. 3) Vocational training which initiates a new model for self-sufficiency in the Ultra Orthodox/Haredi Community 4) Educational support and tutoring to help these young men bridge their knowledge and skill gaps for greater success We are grateful for the support we receive from ORT, private donors and several Israeli Government Ministries. However more help is needed. Please partner with us to to help create a new generation of self sufficient Ultra Orthodox young men. This work will not only impact these young men and their families and communities by demonstrating a new model for Ultra Orthodox self sufficiency, but it will strengthen all of Israeli Society.
