B"H Harchivi Makom Ohalech - Continuing in the footsteps of our forefather Abraham in redeeming Hevron. Over the past decade, 'Harchivi' has been constantly working to purchase additional properties throughout the city of Hebron. In recent years, we have been fortunate to bring about a significant breakthrough in redeeming homes adjacent to Ma’arat Hamachpela and in expanding Jewish settlement in Hevron, with the redemption of Beit HaMachpelah, Beit Rachel, Beit Leah, and Beit HaShalom. Harchivi is continuously creating opportunities for the Jewish community to expand and flourish within Hebron. This creates a Jewish continuum connecting the Jewish neighborhoods located in Hevron and strengthens the Jewish presence in the close vicinity of Ma’arat Hamachpela, the Tomb of the Patriarchs. Harchivi Makom Ohalech is proceeding with the settling of Hevron , in the spirit of the vision and work of Rabbi Moshe Levinger, of blessed memory, and earlier generations. In recent years, we have been fortunate to bring about a significant breakthrough in redeeming homes adjacent to Ma’arat Hamachpela and in expanding Jewish settlement in Hevron, with the redemption of several buildings and establishment of new Jewish neighborhoods: • Beit Hashalom - A very large building on the main route between Kiryat Arba and Ma’arat Hamachpela. Several families currently live in the building. The building is in the midst of an extensive renovation project that will upgrade it as a new, vibrant, quality Jewish neighborhood. • Beit Rachel and Beit Leah - A pair of large, ancient buildings located near Ma’arat Hamachpela. The presence of the Jewish families, since Passover 5778, has completely changed the atmosphere of the daily lives of the Jewish residents and many visitors. • Beit Hamachpela - A three-story building located adjacent to Ma’arat Hamachpela and overlooks the holy site. The redemption of the building significantly expanded the area of the Jewish community in the city. A number of families live in the building and parties and events can be hosted on its rooftop. We pray that we will merit to see the fruition of Jeremiah’s prophecy: “For so says the Lord of Hosts, the G-d of Israel; Houses and fields and vineyards shall be purchased again in this land.” (Jeremiah 32:15)
