Hapoalim city

“Hapoalim City” was founded by Hapoel Haifa fans in order to be a representative and unifying body of all Hapoel Haifa fans. The association established and manage a football club named “Hapoel Rubi Shapira Haifa” playing in the league A North, the third league in Israel. This year will be the 4th year for our football academy for children and youth. The academy aspires to excellence on the field and outside the field, and places special emphasis on imparting sports and educational values. The Academy counts 250 players from all religions and communities, with special emphasis on children and youth from disadvantaged populations. Every year our Youth Academy organizes the "Anti Racism and Violence" tournament, which is attended by groups of Jewish and Arab children from all over Israel. In addition, since 2014 the association leads the project "Promoting the Way through the Feet". Our community flagship project is an educational and sports project for children and youth from a low socio-economic background that combines football and educational enrichment centers. The project operates in six cities (Haifa, Jisr a-Zarka, Kiryat Shmuel, Kiryat Bialik, Kiryat Haim and Iblin), this year we will reach 350 children from 16 different schools. The program combines secular and religious, boys and girls, Jews and Arabs, and reflects the unique human mosaic in the Haifa metropolitan area. In addition to football and educational enrichment, there is a special emphasis on preventing violence and racism and promoting tolerance between each other. In 2018, the President of Israel granted the "Shield of Honor - Israeli Hope" to the Association for outstanding community and social work.
