AJEEC-NISPED

AJEEC-NISPED is an organization based in Beer Sheva dedicated to promoting the socioeconomic development of the Negev Bedouin community and partnership between Arabs and Jews across Israel.Founded in 2000 and today one of the largest civil society organizations in Israel, AJEEC-NISPED currently employs 200 people - Arabs and Jews - and engages 1400 youth volunteers. Altogether, programs benefit tens of thousands of people in the Negev and beyond.Programs operate in diverse but interconnected areas including community volunteering, early childhood development, socioeconomic advancement, health, environment, and Arab-Jewish dialogue. Many initiatives work closely with local Bedouin municipalities, authorities, and community leaders to ensure acceptance and legitimacy.Over the past few years, AJEEC-NISPED has launched a strategic initiative called "Going National", expanding and replicating models successfully developed in the Negev in other parts of the country.
