ESRA-English Speaking Residents Association

ESRA, Israel's largest English speaking volunteer organization is focused on two main avenues of activity. Firstly, ESRA is dedicated to the successful integration of English speaking immigrants into Israeli society through a range of social and cultural activities, as well as volunteering opportunities for involvement in, and betterment of, the community. Secondly, and no less important, ESRA works to close the social and cultural gaps in society's geo-social periphery through the development and management of community projects throughout the country. Our education projects focus on promoting personal, educational and social support, reinforcement and empowerment; excellence in science; leadership; Israeli identity; the teaching of learning strategies; and English acquisition among schoolchildren. Our welfare projects focus on financial and emotional aid, as well as providing food to those in need.
