Dimona Theater

Dimona Theater was established in 2011 as a “Culture Lab” with the intention to recognize cultural needs of its local community and respond to them. Until then, Dimona residents could only consume culture from Israel’s center (Tel Aviv) that didn’t tell their story. Now a days, Dimona Theater beats vigorously and successfully in creating a new artistic language based on local landscapes, state of mind and the community. During the past 5 years, Dimona Theater has become an “exporter” of leading culture from Dimona to the rest of Israel. Our theater productions, festivals and cultural events are created from local content but aim to the hearts of all people. Our Repertoire includes 7 original productions that where created in past seasons and in the coming year we plan to produce 4 new plays that are in the writing. Dimona Theater aspires to become the biggest cultural center in the Negev and provide food for the soul, education of culture and a strong connection with the community through a modern and immersive theatrical language. Aside from theater and communal events, we hold a contemporary art gallery that hosts 4 exhibitions each year of outstanding local, Israeli and International artists, inviting the community to be inspired by and create art. Dimona Theater is running forward and making a change in the Negev
