Hashomer Hatzair World movement

Hashomer Hatzair has been educating youth and building communities since 1913, guided by the values of Tikkun Olam and Tikkun Adam. We are active in 26 countries around the world where we educate towards creating alternatives to the mainstream and empower youth to take the lead in making the world a better place. Our ideology consists of three pillars: Humanistic Judaism, Zionism and Socialism. Our values and sense of leadership is guided by informal pedagogies and in the spirit of critical education. The base of our movement is youth educating youth, dialogue, youth autonomy, and social awareness based on self-awareness and leading by personal example (dugma ishit). In our Shomeric communities around the globe we thrive to implement equality, solidarity, and social justice towards the Jewish people and the human society.
