A Residence for Lone Soldiers

A Home for Lone Soldiers and Village Graduates Because Family Remains FamilyAt Havat Hanoar Hatsioni, we believe that our relationship with our students does not end on graduation day. Nearly all of our graduates go on to serve in the Israel Defense Forces. For many, this is a period of great responsibility and challenge, and at times, loneliness. Some are Lone Soldiers who came to Israel without their families. Others come from complex family circumstances and do not have a home to return to when they are on leave. For them, the Village continues to be home. The residence for Lone Soldiers and Village graduates was established through the generosity of our donors and the vision of our beloved Judy Segal z”l, who believed that our responsibility to our students does not end when they graduate. Here, they can rest when they are on leave, enjoy a warm meal, do their laundry, reconnect with staff members who have known and supported them for years, and simply know that someone is waiting for them. To keep this home warm, welcoming, and comfortable, we need ongoing support to maintain the building, renew furniture and equipment, and provide a pleasant living environment for our graduates. Every contribution helps us provide our graduates with more than a roof over their heads - it gives them the same sense of security, belonging, and family they have known since they first arrived at the Village. Because there are some homes you never truly leave, and some families that will always be there to welcome you back.
