On March 25, 2022, I am running in the annual Jerusalem Marathon. I am dedicating my run to a very worthy cause – Dementia and Alzheimer’s Care. For forty years, Melabev has run day centers specializing in dementia and Alzheimer’s care in the community. Melabev day centers provide a place to socialize, a feeling of purpose and increased self-esteem for the elderly, while providing the much-needed respite for family caregivers. Your tax-deductible donation will go toward the therapy programs at Melabev – Services for People with dementia and Alzheimer’s in the Community. Experiencing up close the effects of dementia on my father and now my mother, I’ve seen the impact community-based services have on the quality of life for people with dementia - enhancing their lives and helping them to age in place. Anything I can do, even run 42.2km, to help more people benefit from the incredible work Melabev does will be more than worth it!! With a donation of ILS 150, you support one group therapy session. With a donation of ILS 750, you support one daily group therapy session for one week. With a donation of ILS 3300, you support one daily group therapy session for one month.
