4Rotary helping autistic children: expression through typing

The Rotary Club of Modiin Maccabim Reut invites you to take part in the amazing project, expression by typing for children on the autistic spectrum. Your contribution, large or small, will make it possible to open classes for learning expression by typing. Learning will allow autistic children to express their desires, thoughts, and feelings through typing. For the children and their families this is the first time the children communicate through words. For parents, this is the first time they are familiar with their child's abilities, talents and desires. 1 out of 70 children is diagnosed as autistic. Being the parent of an autistic child means living in constant uncertainty. Not knowing whether my child feels cold or hot. Not knowing if he's in pain. It means waking up in the morning thinking: What will happen with my child? What kind of life will he live? It means making the decisions for him 24/7. The kids that were trapped in their own world are suddenly able to "speak" and express themselves. We can all change their lives!
