Let's Build the Future Together

The "Eder Yehuda" community is a Zionist community in the Pisgat Ze'ev neighborhood of Jerusalem that follows the traditions of North African Jewry. The nucleus of the community was a group of young men who had learned Torah from Rabbi Meir Za’ini (of blessed memory), in Paris. They dreamed of establishing a spiritual center in Jerusalem that would spread the eternal values of the Jewish people as they themselves had learned them from their beloved rabbi - the love of Torah, the people, the land. The same group has repeatedly been re-elected by the community to continue leading them, according to the same values. At the outset, the group numbered a just a few people who prayed in a school’s air-raid shelter, but within a short period of time many families fell in love with the warm atmosphere and appreciated the investment in the leadership by the younger generation and appreciated the belief that the State of Israel is the beginning of the blossoming of our redemption. Currently, the community numbers more than 120 families, and attracts many neighborhood residents who attend classes, lectures and special events throughout the year. However, all the community’s activities takes place in a single-storey building that cannot meet the growing needs: The womens’ section is very crowded, Services take place in a hall meant for small celebrations. It is not possible to hold classes at the same time, and it is not possible to hold community and family events in a dignified manner. Therefore, the time has come, to complete the construction of our community’s home, and thereby put an end to the sad situation in which a sacred building stands half-built. We call upon each and every one of you to be our partners in the physical and spiritual building of our holy city, Jerusalem, so that you too can merit a great mitzvah and assist us as much as you can! Every contribution will help us advance towards the desired goal! Many thanks in advance, blessing and success to you and all your families!
