The Help and Education Center of Kiryat Gat is committed to the special children in our community, and we firmly believe that they deserve a better, happier and fulfilling future! Guided by this belief, we sponsor exciting activities and retreats for the special children, as well as for their parents and siblings who deserve a break from the enormous challenges of caring for a child with special needs. Families also benefit from support groups and events that empower them with tools and emotional fortitude to continue braving the challenges. Another one of our vital projects is supporting kids at risk and offering them opportunities to emerge from the poverty cycle and build successful futures. In this capacity, we offer free vocational training in a variety of fields that empowers them with skills and tools to succeed in life. We also sponsor frequent networking events that facilitate the job hunt and help them grow their private businesses, and provide free business counseling to help new or floundering businesses achieve and maintain financial stability. It’s amazing to see how the Help and Education Center, which opened its doors 20 years ago as a clubhouse for teens at risk, has expanded beyond imagination to encompass dozens of highly-successful socio-educational and welfare programs for disadvantaged families, teens and children of all ages. Encouraged and inspired by our genuine concern for each individual, hundreds of adolescents have registered to join our programs where they strengthen their Jewish identity and receive physical and emotional tools to succeed in life.
