Darchei Miriam was founded in the memory of Rebbetzin Miriam Weingarten z"l , and aims to help cancer patients and their families during the difficult time surrounding the diagnosis and management of a life threatening illness. As part of their activities, the organization makes over 200 trips daily to drive patients and their families to receive medical treatments in both in-patient and out-patient facilities. The trips are made 24 hours a day by about 3,500 volunteers who donate their time and make the trips free of charge using their private vehicles with maximum comfort and service. There are patients who need to travel in an adapted vehicle - such as patients in wheelchairs. Darchei Miriam operates a service vehicle that also allows these patients to reach treatments comfortably and efficiently at any hour. Now we need you! To continue providing maximum service, Darchei Miriam needs a new customized vehicle. understandably, a car adapted for these patients is a very big expense and therefore we need your help!
