Choosing To Govern!

On the road to the 25th Knesset - strengthening governance in Israel!

The State of Israel faces many problems at home and abroad, all of which have solutions, but in order to reach these solutions, a continuous and clear policy must be implemented
The root of all the problems of Israeli society is the lack of governance and usurpation of powers by elected officials, in a way that prevents them from implementing the policies for which they were elected
In democratic countries the public is the sovereign and the principle of the sovereignty of the people is critical to guaranteeing democracy, however in Israel we are witnessing a violation of this principle by the judicial system, thereby neutralizing democracy and the will of the people
For years, a legal and bureaucratic elite has been operating here that does not allow elected officials to act and lead decisions.
A very limited and unelected group took upon themselves the authority to be the last word on any subject.
So it turns out that all too often the exact opposite of the public's will is the one that is actually implemented, and in even more cases the elected officials do not even try to act, knowing that the judicial system will prevent them from doing so.
The citizens of Israel vote and elect members of the Knesset so that they make decisions and act for the public that sent them, and according to the values they present,
But unfortunately it's just not enough. In order to allow elected officials to act, we need vigorous civil society organizations that know how to expose the problems and corruption in the system, push for the required changes and place an unequivocal demand for correction, backed by research and clear action proposals.
The only organization that works in this direction today on all fronts is the Movement for Governance and Democracy.
The Movement for Governance is working, among other things, to change the method of appointing judges, passing the superseding clause so that the last word will be with the elected officials, appointing legal advisors to the government offices as a trusted servant of the minister, splitting the roles of the attorney general and strengthening the powers of the members of the Knesset and in short, to strengthen democracy and bring your will - the public - to the front of the stage
Precisely now, and towards the beginning of the campaigns for the 2022 elections, the movement for governance calls on you and you not to be satisfied with a ballot paper. Join us and lead with us the necessary change in the legal system - for the future of all of us.
Because the Knesset also needs someone to show it the way.
This time, choose to Govern!
