A very limited and unelected group took upon themselves the authority to be the last word on any subject. So it turns out that all too often the exact opposite of the public's will is the one that is actually implemented, and in even more cases the elected officials do not even try to act, knowing that the judicial system will prevent them from doing so. The citizens of Israel vote and elect members of the Knesset so that they make decisions and act for the public that sent them, and according to the values ​​they present, But unfortunately it's just not enough. In order to allow elected officials to act, we need vigorous civil society organizations that know how to expose the problems and corruption in the system, push for the required changes and place an unequivocal demand for correction, backed by research and clear action proposals. The only organization that works in this direction today on all fronts is the Movement for Governance and Democracy.
