Giving taste in life, to those with muscular dystrophy, Muti and the ALS community!

Pouring valuable and happy content into the lives of ALS patients who are limited to perform a physical action
Donors: 17
Words cannot contain the suffering and grief that is revealed to anyone close to someone who suffers from muscular dystrophy - ALS.
The frustration and helplessness are unbearable, the brain works perfectly, they take in everything and understand, but are unable to react and move a limb!
The only possibility to communicate is with the eyes through the computer in gaze focusing software, to write letter by letter at the pace of a sentence in 3 minutes... and all this after the computer is arranged and focused in front of you. Which means that every time the foreign worker changes position - from the back to the side, from lying down to sitting (a change of position that takes about 10 minutes, of transferring with a crane...), you have to reorient yourself and calibrate the computer in front of your eyes. No wonder that sometimes there are periods when they are simply tired of communicating at all!
The only thing we can do for them is to share with them as many events and experiences as possible, thereby distracting them from their suffering and disability, and letting them enjoy the few possibilities they have left to enjoy and be satisfied. We try to organize at least once a week such an event, when behind an hour and a half of such an event, there are dozens of hours of organization and phone calls, finding the available artist/lecturer/singer, organizing an audience of participants, and all the technical details (when a singer arrives - we take care of the organist, we taking care of the amplification of the system, etc.).
This moment when you see the joy shining on the tormented face, gives us the feedback, that for that it was worth everything. And thanks to you we can add more such moments.
The joy and satisfaction of learning is also one of the main experiences that the ALS patient lacks, since he does not have the possibility to use physical books, and he does not have the possibility to study and advance in personal development as he could until now. . . We make sure to bring him a digital version of every research and topic he is interested in, either in a written version, or in classes and workshops to watch. And of course make sure to incorporate as many pictures and color as possible into the material, which will be fascinating and interesting from an experiential point of view!
The joy and satisfaction that shines on their faces after such research is worth every price, and gives them the strength to continue to face their sad situation.
In order to continue organizing such experiences, and to diversify them, a lot of thought and creativity is required. Thanks to her, we gave them a Zoom tour of Old Jerusalem and the wall tunnels, and sometimes we also fly them on a virtual trip abroad, by projecting amazing landscapes on a screen in front of them, while they wear 3D glasses.
But we owe you your partnership, so that you don't lose an opportunity to get some joy and taste in life because of a barrier of costs and budget.
