Hugging preemies parents

In Israel, 15,000 premature babies are born every year. The LAHAV Association for the Premature Babies in Israel was established by parents of premature babies on a voluntary basis 18 years ago. This year, 2022, marks 18 years since its foundation. Throughout the years of its activity, the association achieved many significant goals, and secured the rights of premature babies and their parents, which they did not have before. Some prominent examples: > Extension of paid maternity leave for premature babies' mothers/parents > Inclusion of RSV vaccines in the Medical Health Basket - for those eligible according to the National Health Insurance Law > Special National Insurance allowance for eligible premature babies > Promoting the establishment of a national breast-milk bank in Israel > Regulating the care of premature babies in the community through the Ministry of Health "Director General's Circular" But no less important, during all these years we accompany the parents and are here for them 24X7X365 - whether in the hotline we operate, by assisting in the exercise of rights, through the various support groups we run, and in many other ways. LAHAV's enfolding embrace is largely based on volunteers, but requires financial resources as well. This year, in honor of Prematurity Awareness Month and the LAHAV's 18th birthday (yes, our first premature babies are already soldiers!) we invite you to celebrate with us and give a birthday gift to LAHAV, so that we can continue to be there for the parents and premature babies at every moment, day and night.
