Israel Hofsheet

Israel Hofsheet is a non-partisan movement that has been working to change state-religion relations in Israel since 2009. What Do We Do? Israel Hofsheet leads a wide range of initiatives and public campaigns nationwide to promote freedom of religion and strengthen democracy. These efforts include advocating for freedom of marriage, combating gender segregation in public spaces, steadfastly standing for LGBTQ+ rights and equality for Russian-speaking Israelis, and defending our freedom on Shabbat. Israel Hofsheet stands firm and relevant, especially in light of the heightened security needs following the murderous Hamas attack on October 7th and the ensuing war. We fight for equal burden-sharing and consistently set clear principles for the government: We are all Israelis. We all serve. It is time for equality. We need your support to research the economic damage caused by the government's reckless policies, to inform the public about possible courses of action, to use legal tools to mount a defensive battle, and, most importantly, to ensure that democratic and liberal Israel continues to prevail!
