Zikaron BaSalon

Many Holocaust survivors are experiencing recurring trauma due to the challenging circumstances and the situation in Israel. Many of them are reliving their past and experiencing fear, unable to leave their homes, with no immediate assistance. Zikaron BaSalon, which is dedicated to commemorating the memory of the Holocaust and the well-being of survivors throughout the year, established an emergency assistance center for survivors on the first day of the war. The call center operates around the clock in Hebrew and Russian and has become a lifeline for over 4,000 Holocaust survivors across the country. The center serves as a necessary address for them to get support during these difficult times. Our dedicated team proactively reaches out to thousands of survivors daily, checking on their well-being, addressing their immediate needs, and offering emotional support during this challenging period. We have recognized that many survivors feel insecure about leaving their homes. To ease their concerns, we purchase essential items such as food, medication, and household necessities. Additionally, we accompany them to urgent medical appointments and ensure their healthcare needs are met. To uplift their spirits and strengthen their sense of security, our volunteers visit Holocaust survivors in their homes and this coming weekend, the volunteers will bring a sweet Challah Bread for Shabbat and a personal letter. We need your support. As the demand for our services continues to grow, we find ourselves in need of additional resources to sustain our efforts. Your donation will enable us to provide Holocaust survivors with hot meals and essential supplies, arrange transportation for medical appointments, and offer ongoing emotional support. Moreover, it will allow us to expand our center and ensure that no Holocaust survivor is left without the care and assistance they require.  Every donation will make a significant impact.
