"My name is Rahli, about a year ago I got cancer, a 28-year-old young woman with 3 small children, our house was about to collapse. The chemotherapy treatments I started caused me severe nausea, vomiting, pain and a shocking general weakness. I could not function, organize the children in the morning, kiss the baby or listen to stories from kindergarten. One day, after returning from an exhausting day's hospitalization, I looked at the house, which was very neglected and dirty, and I decided to try to tidy it up anyway. I opened the fridge to remove leftover food and then in a moment of weakness a box fell out of my hand and all the food spilled on the floor, I ran to the bathroom, vomited my soul out and couldn't stop crying. I felt that I was not up to it and I prayed: "Lord, everything you do is for the good, but I cannot see this neglect around me and it increases my terrible sickness" Two days later, my husband receives a call from the Drachi Miriam volunteer: "Elimalech, from today the cleaning is on us, we have obtained a weekly housekeeper for you for the coming period" Since then everything has changed, twice a week a lovely woman comes to us and leaves a shiny and fragrant house. I can't describe to you what it does for the whole family, my husband is calmer, the children feel that the house is under control and when I am in the ward, I think about the organized house that is waiting for me and it fills me with hope.
