As a child, I grew up as an at-risk teenager in a distressed neighborhood where life was not bright at the beginning, then at the age of 12 I discovered the sea, I see the children and thus see myself, as someone who could easily get carried away into delinquency, I was involved in sports from morning to night. When I discovered the sea and surfing I realized that my life had changed. Surfing reflected my life - "to always row, even when the waves are huge and threaten to break you, to fall and get up countless times to persevere and not give up, in the end - to ride the wave to success" (Yossi Peretz, founder and CEO of the association "See the Horizon in the Sea"). The association "Seeing the Horizon at Sea" was established with the aim of giving an opportunity to people from unique populations - youth in risk situations, special needs and more, An opportunity and hope for those people who feel they are not capable, that their limitation is stopping them. We are here - to give them the faith and ability to win! to feel a sense of competence. Through a professional team, mostly composed of volunteers, we set ourselves a goal - to make the sea accessible to everyone! We established a surfing club, specializing in surfing for people from unique populations and created a culture of leisure and synergy between everyone. Using accessible equipment, and professional workshops, we teach the campers the secrets of the sea and take them through a therapeutic process at the end of which they experience success! Because every night in Israel, hundreds and thousands of people go to sleep who give up the possibility of dreaming, They get up in the morning and leave the right to dream behind them - because they don't believe they will be able to fulfill it, We are here for them! These days I am expanding our activities and need you, both in the Ministry of Education and in general. We donate full activities such as summer camps/classes/surfing suits to orphans or the underprivileged and enable them to join this Olympic sport, the leisure culture that takes them out of being in dangerous spaces. We create an integrated leisure space for all populations and make it possible to give an opportunity even to those who were literally left outside of any possible framework. Thanks to the campaign, we will take care of replacing all the donated equipment and increase the manpower.
