Ranger robotics team of Jerusalem!

Ranger robotics, a Jerusalem team, has advanced to the international robotics championship in Australia and we need your help, so that we can represent Israel and Jerusalem in the global arena! We are the first Jerusalem robotics team ever to compete internationally - please help us to achieve our dream! As a result of the team’s dedication, these boys and girls, aged 11-14, who hail from various different schools in Jerusalem, won second place in the 2023 national championship. Our team was founded in 2018, and has already succeeded to substantively impact and expand the field of robotics in Jerusalem. We directly mentor various other Jerusalem robotics teams, we train schoolteachers to serve as mentors, and we are actively engaged in expanding robotics to new populations in Jerusalem. Among other examples, in 2022, we mentored the first haredi robotics team, Kanfey Nesharim, and helped them reach the national finals! In this year’s competition, the judges ruled: "Ranger exemplifies the core values of the competition - respect, inclusion, caring for others, and above all, tolerance. Dear children, you captivated us with your capacity for tolerance, as evident in your relationships with your friends on the team." Above all, we are proud of our values and we aim to apply them in our lives. As a religiously observant team, we sometimes face challenges in balancing our religious lifestyle with the timetable of our competitions. We won’t set aside our Sabbath observance, our prayer, and our kosher dietary laws; characteristically, and in accordance with our values, we will find creative solutions in order to participate in the international competition in Sydney, Australia while remaining faithful to who we are.
