The Teachers' Lounge program in memory of Shira Banki

Teachers Lounge is an annual training program recognized by the Ministry of Education and intended for Jewish and Arab teachers and educators operating in Jerusalem, the Western Galilee, Tel Aviv, Jaffa, Ramla and Haifa. Teachers are key figures for students in every society and community and serve as a role model and as a source of knowledge. Teachers can bring about a significant change and emphasize in their classes ways of dealing with racism and prejudice. They have the power to promote tolerance and to change the atmosphere of shared life in Israel. Many organizations and donors here and abroad share in the success of the Teachers Lounge program.
