The Brave association (Al-Shuja’an) for Juvenile Diabetes is the first non for profit Arabic association in the country, established on the 7th of March, 2007 as an initiative of a young man named Shady Kassis, arising from his personal experience with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 19. Today the Association hosts more than 700 Brave Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) and more than 200 volunteers from across 53 Arab towns and villages
