Chinuch Vaatid - Futures was established in 2012 to meet the needs of children with special needs after my experience with my dear brother who suffers from developmental mental retardation due to improper care. The organization runs a special education school and afternoon clubs for children with moderate to severe disabilities, ages 7-21. The students come from different areas in the country. Parents put a lot of effort into registering their children at our school, because of the great reputation we have, and because our school has a team of highly qualified special education professionals who strive to ensure that each student with an identified disability is given the specific supports they need to benefit from their education, maximize their success, and achieve their full potential. The children learning in our school suffer from different problems: learning disabilities, social, emotional and behavioral problems. In addition, there are classes for children with ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder). If not for our school these children might possibly be wandering the streets and eventually become neglected. Most of our student come from low socio-economy situations and many children families.
