Alumim Village has been providing high-quality care for children and adolescents since 1947, in beautiful green grounds in the town of Kfar-Saba, in central Israel.
Today, more than 200 children ages 6-18 from all over the country enjoy the educational and therapeutic services in the village, providing both full boarding facilities as well as day care programs. The children at Alumim have been referred to us through social welfare due to a variety of reasons such as family hardships, severe socio-economic distress, emotional and social problems etc. The village provides the children a stable and supportive environment where they are raised and educated.
The staff consists of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, counselors and a variety of alternative therapists and volunteers from the community. Each child is provided with a personalized therapy program that addresses his/her needs together with the family professionals from the community they came from. The children at "Alumim" attend regular schools in the city of Kfar Saba and are provided with additional help with school work and intensive preparation for the matriculation exams as well as improving learning strategies. This is enabled by donations and kind volunteers. After school hours the children take part in various extra-curricular activities both at the village and the local community. We see a great significance in exposing the children to different subjects and experiences that will enrich their knowledge and life skills.
