The Rising Or haShahar is a foundation that was established the memory of Shahar Ben Naim RIP who was murdered at the Nova on Saturday 7.10.23.
On that terrible day, the lives of our family and many others turned completely.
The great loss and unimaginable pain came with a desire to do something good.
We have chosen to escort and support grieving parents and siblings, the survivors of the Nova, and all who wish for it, in the way we know and love.
The way Shahar loved- the way of the sea.
The foundation’s main aim is to escort and support families who lost their loved ones and survivors of the Nova through the sea by creating a variety of programs, that include professional guidance, group talks, and aquatic activities.
The foundation wishes to be used as an anchor and a safe place for its people. A place for people to share and express their experiences, emotions, and fears while also allowing for self-growth, emotional and social support, and teaching new skills that will work towards the participants well being, both physically, emotionally, and mentally. All through the sea, surfing, and rowing.
We are here to do good!
We have the tools and ability to aid and help and we will be happy to be partners in this blessed work.
