The Zahal Disabled Veterans Fund (ZDVF)

The Friends of Zahal (IDF) Disabled Veterans Organization (ZDVO), headed by Mr. Adi Strauss , services about 50,000 disabled veterans in Israel. It offers a comprehensive range of services with a rehabilitative focus, and a supportive atmosphere which helps disabled veterans resume their normal lives as quickly as possible. In addition, ZVDO works to increase public awareness in Israel and in the Diaspora of our debt to our disabled veterans, who were injured in the service of our nation or as victims of terror attacks. All of ZDVO’s activities are conducted in five Beit Halochem Centers (Warrior’s Homes) located throughout Israel, from Haifa in the north to Beersheba in the south.The Main Principles Guiding all Friends of Zahal (IDF) Disabled Veterans Organization’s Activities: Projects with a rehabilitative nature that focus on each veteran’s individual growth Projects with an added educational value that enable each veteran to transform into someone who passes on value to others Projects which deepen public awareness of its debt to and create partnerships with IDF disabled veterans
