More than two decades ago, Yehuda founded the "Beit Hatzayir" school in Jerusalem. The school is designated for young boys, aged 12-20, with behavioral, communication and mental disorders. Today, more than 90 students are learning in the school. the students are divided into small 15 classes supervised by a professional educational treatment team that allows personal and great attention to every pupil.
Most of the boys arrive to the "painter's house" after a welfare order to take them out of their homes, due to various risk situations. The need to create a framework for the afternoon and night has led to the establishment of boarding school which provide a warm home environment and continue the school's therapeutic.
today the "painters house " included three boarding school that located in different neighborhoods in the city. The main purpose of the hostels is rehabilitation in order to give them the tools and strength to face the challenges that independent life presents them with, back at their homes.
The rehabilitation process is accompanied by a care team and supervision throughout day and night while communicating with their parents, who take an important part in it.
Among the hostel graduates, the percentage of the enlisting to the Israeli army, and high school graduated have increased while criminal behaviors and violence have decreases.
