Firqat Alnoor is a Israeli orchestra for Arabic classical music, which is unique in that it performs music from all over the Arab world - Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Kuwait and the Maghreb.
Our dream and aspiration when we established the orchestra were to continue the great tradition of the oriental and Arabic music, which is the cultural bedrock for many of us, in the Israeli landscape.
This music is shared by Jews and Arabs in Israel and around the world. The love and passion for it connects the members of Firqat Alnoor, and we believe that it is the language of peace, a language which supersedes time and space and is capable of connecting peoples, beliefs and religions.
Firqat Alnoor has been a success story and was received with love and admiration by Jews and Arabs alike. The orchestra has performed on the most prestigious stages in Israel and has worked in cooperation with a diverse body of musicians, singers, and poets. The orchestra brings to life the richness and beauty of the Arabic music and the of the Israeli multifaceted culture
