About Us - The Shoresh Institution is an independent, non-partisan policy research center established in 2015 by leading Israeli academic researchers. It was founded to address a critical gap in Israel’s policy ecosystem: the absence of a research institution solely dedicated to identifying the source, nature and scope of Israel’s socioeconomic-demographic challenges that constitute an existential threat to Israel’s future.

Our Mission - To equip Israel’s leading policymakers and the public with data-driven analyses necessary for steering the country toward a path that is sustainable in the long term – one that raises living standards for all Israelis while reducing the gaps between us.

The Need - Israel is at the most critical crossroads in its history. Rapidly changing demographics, poor basic education, and government budgets prioritizing sectoral and personal interests over national ones threaten the country’s future. Now more than ever, Shoresh’s independent voice and cutting-edge findings need to be seen and heard, before it’s too late.
