Israel Friends of Technion

The IFT- Israel Friends of Technion (Formerly ITS - Israel Technion Society) was created in 1924, with purpose to help raise necessary funds to advance the Technion academic goals. IFT builds relationships with existing and potential supporters of the Technion, Israel's leading university in science, technology and entrepreneurship. Major donors include multinational corporations with presence in Israel, leading philanthropists, Technion alumni, foundations and more. Contributions received are critical to funding some of the Technion's strategic projects, such as recruiting new faculty, building new dormitories and laboratories, as well as providing fellowships and scholarships to students and more. Israel Friends of Technion's mission is to make sure that every capable young person, regardless of social, financial, educational or ethnic background, is given the opportunity to study at the Technion. Through IFT fund-raising efforts, IFT helps needy graduate students to finance their studies, providing support for post-graduates education and the acquisition of higher degrees, which would pave the way for their becoming part of the Technion’s academic or research staff. Through these efforts, the IFT contributes to the creation of a significant group of talented researchers in Israel.
