Jerusalem Print Workshop was founded in 1974 and is housed in an Ottoman-era building located between east and west of the city. The vision of the workshop was and still is to be a home for artists and artistic endeavours in Jerusalem, combining the preservation of traditional techniques alongside the development of state-of-the-art technologies.
The workshop is a cultural and educational centre in Israel, teaching printmaking to artists and the general public alongside gallery exhibitions and an open library. Today, the workshop hosts tours, demonstrations, and educational activities, adding great value to the cultural scene in Jerusalem. The Workshops collection of prints is one of the most comprehensive available in Israel today and provides a detailed account of printmaking over the past fifty years.
