For 15 years, Chabad of Baka in Jerusalem has been a beacon of light and a home to thousands of Jews for prayer, Torah learning, holiday activities, friendship, and support.
Following the tragic passing of his brother Levi z'l, who lost his life in a car accident while on route to Chanukah outreach with IDF soldiers, Rabbi Avraham Hendel and his wife Nechama Dina moved to Israel to found Chabad of Baka-Beit Levi to continue Levi's light and legacy. They focus on welcoming new olim and tending to their unique needs- both physical and spiritual.
Adult Education, A Women's Circle, Children's Club and Camp, Events for Young Professionals, and the Friendship Circle of South Jerusalem- which lovingly supports and includes children with special needs and their families- are just a few of the multi-faceted programs that Chabad of Baka offers.
