The Women's Beit Midrash of Efrat and Gush Etzion is a vibrant community of Torah learning that benefits women of all ages and backgrounds, from across the whole Gush, who join together to learn deep and inspiring Torah, in Hebrew and in English.
We offer weekly classes, short series lectures, Y'mei Iyun, Pre-Chag preparation, Bat Mitzvah programs, a Rosh Chodesh women’s group, shabbat afternoon shiurim, and more! Many of our programs are open to men and women.
Classes are varied: from Tanach, Halachah, Jewish History, Gemara and Jewish Philosophy to on-site tours throughout Israel which combine learning Tanach with archeology .
The WBM was started in 1998 by Rabbanit Batya Hefter, Founding Rosh Beit Midrash, and is now under the auspices of the Educational Committee with Ayelet Avrahami as Director
The WBM is looking to expand to new neighborhoods and increase our programming with new initiatives and classes, such as: mother/daughter learning, Mommy & Me classes, movie series, Parenting & Torah lectures, and family onegs and Shabbatonim.
