The Merhavia Network is a nonprofit organization which works to strengthen Torah-Zionist education in Israel. Merhavia was established over thirty years ago when it founded the first Noam school in Jerusalem and operated it from the beginning. Since then we have established and developed with Hashem's help several dozen schools for girls and for boys have been established throughout Israel under the auspices of the Merhavia network. Today, Merhavia operates in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and local authorities 25 schools for boys and girls throughout the country from Zfat in the north to Dimona in the south attended by about 7,500 pupils. Merhavia meets the needs of parents and families on one hand by educating boys and girls separately as to be sensitive to the these families' religious needs with an emphasis on a Torah education, and on the other hand we present a clearly defined national Zionist viewpoint for their children. A large segment of the population doesn't find its place in the regular “dati leumi” national religious framework of schools or in the Chareidi system. At Merhavia we have been always tried and with Hashem's help will in the future, to fill in this gap from both sides to build and maintain an education system where Torah and Zionism are taught together in harmony. Merhavia works to ensure that each student will complete his or her studies at the highest possible level. We place a special emphasis on the personal development of each student both boys and girls, and we educate them to be God-fearing, to keep the Torah and mitzvot, to be enlightened and know the Torah and to be loyal citizens who contribute to all aspects of life and society in Israel. Merhavia runs in her schools which is our own education system own unique religious, educational and social programs with diverse informal activities, different educational programs, youth activities, leisure/cultural programs and activities for community and staff: continuing education, distributing unique learning materials and so forth. The Merhavia network consolidates its offices in Jerusalem, and all the financial and organizational activities are under one administrative roof. These offices handle all educational, managerial, organizational and financial matters of all the schools in the network and are used to manage the schools and institutions of educational activities.
