The Association for the Establishment of a Democratic School in the Jerusalem Area (R.A.)

Jerusalem Sudbury Democratic School, open to students aged 6-18, was established in 2002. Students come from diverse backgrounds, from all faiths and branches of Judaism. The school’s democratic model is based on values of respect, responsibility and trust, and students and staff are equal partners in running the school. Students are free to choose how to spend their time. This freedom enables students to challenge themselves and pursue their passions with interest and enjoyment. They develop talents and skills required for success in a dynamic and changing world, including self-directed learning, problem-solving, and the ability to function in a diverse community.
