HaNoar HaOved VeHalomed (NOAL) is the largest and most diverse youth movement in Israel, operating in over 400 localities with all of Israel’s population groups – olim and veteran Israelis; Jews and Arabs; Christians, Muslims, Druze and Circassians; cities and rural areas; etc. The youth movement aims to simultaneously promote each member on a personal basis – advocating personal leadership and responsibility, nonviolence, adherence to the law and universal moral codes, etc. – as well as promoting the cohesiveness and social resilience of Israeli society by bringing together all sectors and communities under a common identity – with the same movement uniform shirt, symbols, anthems, traditions and activities, etc. Activity is based on the principle of youth leading youth: from 9th grade, youth movement members serve as junior counselors. The youth also take part in seminars, hikes, trips and leadership courses together with a diverse cadre of their peers from throughout the country. NOAL is also one of Israel's major provider of teen trips to Poland
