The Haifa Junior Command School is an Israeli institute of learning and leadership with a 70-year history and a proven track record.
The school was founded in 1953 at the direction of David Ben Gurion. During these 70 years, we have graduated over 2,700 cadets. The institution welcomes any student who passes the rigorous and unbiased screening process. As of 2024, about 43% of the cadets hail from the Israeli periphery, 18% are women and 9% are non-Jewish minorities.
The Alumni Association of the School was established In 2002 with a vision:
• To preserve and support the Haifa Haifa Junior Command School, its management, its cadets and alumni (from Haifa and Tel-Aviv).
• To actively preserve the memory of our fallen graduates and solidify the connection between the bereaved families, the Alumni and the current corps of Cadets.
• To promote the image and branding of the School as a leading educational institute in leadership and excellence and its contribution to Israeli society.
After their military service, many of our graduates have distinguished themselves as leaders of communities and heads of large public and private sector companies. There have been several Israeli Government ministers. Members of Knesset (MK), mayors of cities, three recipients of the coveted "Israeli Prize" award, a head of the "Mossad", the Chairman of the Jewish Agency, a Chief Rabbi of the IDF, two Chiefs of Staff of the IDF and numerous others in key positions.
True to its vision that, if they qualify, no person shall be denied enrollment. About 35% of the Association Annual budget goes to support cadets that need financial assistance. Another 30% to maintain communications with the graduates and their families and 15% for memorialization activities.
An investment in the Haifa Junior Command School is an investment in the future of Israel and its leadership in years to come.
