Because this war erupted by surprise, and the extent of it's ramifications were not yet
known, the Government could not respond immediately to the needs of those residing in
the South. The means and tools to respond were not readily available. Even when it
became some what clear that the Country needs immediate financial help, the bulk of the
response and financial help was directed to the security forces and the medical rescue
organizations, but not to the directly affected families located in the South.
Being that our Institution is located in the city of Netivot, comprising of a Talmud Torah,
Kollel, Synagogue, and many Chesed divisions, we immediately felt the heavy impact this
war had on our City and our surrounding cities. We therefore decided to immediately form
a response team that can address the needs of the affected residence. This brought us
to concentrate all of our 50 staff members to aid in helping the families and children of
our communities.
