Keren Kehilot is the Umbrella organization for “Socially Active Young Religious Communities” throughout Israel. Keren Kehilot’s goal is to help develop, support, and guide these communities. These communities are made of groups of families that promote Zionist social action for all within the local urban setting, through programs in the fields of education, social welfare and Jewish identity for diverse populations. They create a network of local and national collaborations and show their long-term commitment by living permanently in these cities while improving the lives of those living in the neighborhoods, many of whom are disadvantaged and underprivileged.
