Israel Intelligence' Heritage & Commemoration Center (IICC)

The Israel Intelligence Heritage and Commemoration Center (IICC) (Hebrew Acronym: MALAM - Merkaz LeHanzacha u-Moreshet) 1. The IICC was founded as a non-profit organization (Amuta) in March 1982 and began operations in 1985, an initiative spearheaded by the heads of the intelligence organizations and the bereaved families. It was officially recognized as the State Commemoration Site of the Intelligence Community in 1999. 2. The IICC represents the official bodies of the Israeli Intelligence Community: the Mossad (Institute for Intelligence and Special Operations), the Shin Bet (ISA) (Israel Security Agency), AMAN (Military Intelligence Directorate), Nativ (Liaison Bureau), and the Combat Intelligence Collection Corps (currently known as the Border Defense Force, for commemoration purposes only). It serves as a "showcase" of the Intelligence Community for the public in Israel and abroad. 3. The IICC operates two research institutes that specialize in the fields of intelligence and terrorism:The Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center (ITIC) o  Mission: The Center's objective is to collect, research, and disseminate information, including daily reviews and in-depth studies in the field of intelligence and terrorism. This research is based on open-source information and captured materials (Ghanimah) pertaining to the fighting in various sectors. It serves the Intelligence Community and supports public diplomacy (Hasbara) efforts both domestically and internationally.  Website: https://www.terrorism-info.org.il  The Institute for the Research of Intelligence Methodology (IRIM) o  The Institute functions as a reputable knowledge hub for the Israeli Intelligence Community.
