At Maaglei Nefesh we are on a mission to improve the lives of individuals facing mental health challenges within the Jewish community. Our primary focus is to bridge the gap between mental health and Jewish practice. Through comprehensive training programs, impactful community education, and our virtual support center, we aim to equip religious leaders with the necessary tools and knowledge to address these sensitive issues within their congregations. We strive to create a culture of understanding, compassion, and support for those grappling with mental health difficulties. Our Focus: Maaglei Nefesh focuses on three core pillars: Comprehensive Training: We offer an exclusive training course, "Mental Health, Community, and Halacha," tailored- to rabbis, rebbetzins, and community leaders. This course empowers them with the expertise to navigate the complexities of mental health challenges within their congregations, ensuring they can provide invaluable guidance and support. Community Education: To foster awareness and open dialogue, we conduct numerous impactful events and talks- throughout Israel, the US, UK, and Australia. These events directly address prevalent issues such as suffering and suicide, creating a safe space for discussion and promoting a culture of hope and compassion. - Virtual Support Center: Our virtual support center acts as an invaluable resource for individuals facing mental health challenges within the Jewish community. Through this platform, individuals can directly connect with Rabbis and Rabbaniot who possess specialized knowledge and understanding of mental health issues. The support center provides a confidential and compassionate space for seeking halachic guidance and pastoral/emotional support, ensuring that those in need receive the help they deserve in a timely and accessible manner.
