The Tzahali Association - the Home for the Families of Combat stress survivers (CSS), is the only association in Israel that represents the families of warriors with PTSD.
Tzahali was established by the spouses and childrens of warriors with CSS, with the aim of being a home that includes, supports and empowers families.
According to the information received from the Ministry of Defense, as of July 2023, approximately 7,700 post- traumatic warriors have been recognized by the Ministry of Defense, behind each one of them there is a wounded and transparent family.
Tzahali supports and helps the families of Combat stress survivers (CSS) to deal with the collateral damage of the trauma, which affects all aspects of life of the spouses and childrens.
Tzahali affects hundreds of families in Israel where the main goal is to give tools to the family and a supportive envelope with the understanding that behind every warrior surviver who returns home from the battle standing a strong woman who fights for her home.
Tzahali promotes a variety of activities, services and answers for the family members:
- promoting legislation and the rights of the families of CSS
- raising awareness in the media, in the press and on television programs
- respite and empowerment activity for the women of CSS
- support and discussion circles for women of CSS
- strengthening the relationship between the injured fathers and their childrens
- assistance in the recognition process and in the exercise of rights
