About Amutat Amiram
Based in Netanya, help for the needy
Amutat Amiram was established in 2003. The organization was created in memory of Amiram Hamai, H”YD, who was killed in a suicide attack on the Seder night, the 15th of Nissan, 2002, in the Park Hotel.
The organization was established by 2 of his sons, Etai and Gilad, that wanted to continue Amiram’s tradition of good deeds and charity.
Currently, the organization gives out food packages approximately once a month to needy families with the help of the 2 branches of Bnei Akiva in Netanya. In addition, at holiday time, the number of packages prepared and distributed is raised to over 200. Each family received approximately two crates of food.
Additional activities which have been done include painting house, distribution of clothing and heaters during the winter, equipment to schools, dental expenses and educational evaluations for children with learning disabilities.
The organization is run 100% by community volunteers with a lot of help from the Bnei Akiva youth. It is run by Amiram’s sons and with help from the entire family.
