Pelech educates with a commitment to Jewish religious tradition and broad secular culture. Strives to strengthen Jewish identity, religious Zionism and love of Israel, promotes social awareness, tolerance towards others and an understanding of the democratic process and empowers students to take an active part in Israeli society. The Pelech Religious Experimental School for Girls was officially founded in 1967 by two teachers Rabbi Shalom and Penina Rosenbluth. It opened with just 12 girls learning in a small apartment. From 1975 to 1990, the school developed under the Professor Alice Shalvi's guidance. For over two decades, principal Shira Breuer, has established Pelech as one of the top 10 high schools in the country. The Pelech Junior High opened in 2012 and is headed by Rachel Zur, a Pelech graduate. Sophie Pfeffer, a graduate as well, became principal in 2016 and together with a dedicated, experienced and dynamic teachers ensure the ongoing development of innovative curricula and teaching methods. Today Pelech has approximately 500 students in grades 7-12 including a thriving special education class. Together we support the well-being of our students and strive to create a warm, secure learning environment at the school.
