The Society for Patients Rights

The Association of Patients Rights in Israel is a non-profit organization established in 1996 and operated by volunteers and activists in collaboration with professional advisors in its various fields of operation. The Association works to maintain and execute the rights of patients and their families in the health care system, and is at the forefront of the public campaign for the protection and execution of these rights. The Association operates in several paths for the execution of its goals: • Providing accessibility to information on patient rights and assisting in the execution of these rights; • Providing knowledge and tools for patients with the understanding that this empowers and strengthens them; • Raising the healthcare field onto the public agenda in the parliamentary and media arena; • Leading the National Coalition of Health Organizations and strengthening these organizations' status in the Israeli healthcare discourse.
