Forum Takana continues to be fully engaged in the struggle against sexual abuse and harassment, committed by spiritual and educational authority figures, within the religious sector. Various and different actions are being carried out by the Forum such as, treatment and aid to the victims, enhancement of the public’s awareness to this phenomenon, researches in this field, and more.
No one would dispute that it is our duty to put in practice ‘ Shall thy camp be Holy’ –(Vehaya Mahanecha Kadosh), alongside with saving the victims ‘You shall not stand idly by, when your fellow man is in danger of harm’-( Lo Taamod Al Dam Re’echa’).
To this end, Forum members as rabbis, heads of seminars, therapists, public, educational and judicial figures, have been gathering for 20 years, in an effort to change the social norms of the national religious society.
Succeeding in the mission of cleansing the national religious sector of the sexual abuse and harassment phenomenon, is important and imperative, and requires the collaboration and cooperation of each and everyone of us.
