Lahav - For The Premature Babies In Israel

The LAHAV Association works to ensure a safe and optimal start for preterm infants in Israel and their families. Our goal is to bridge the gaps between the complex medical and emotional needs of preemies and the support currently provided by the healthcare system — gaps that affect approximately 15,000 premature infants born each year and their families. Founded in 2004 by parents of preemies and healthcare professionals, LAHAV operates with a small professional team and a large volunteer network representing the diversity of Israeli society. We work in close collaboration with neonatal intensive care units (NICUs), health and welfare professionals, government ministries, and parent communities. Our activities focus on four main areas: Family support and guidance Rights advocacy Policy advancement to improve care for premature infants Increasing public awareness LAHAV is committed to promoting equal opportunities and optimal health for preterm infants from the very first moment.
